Given the nature of our business – ‘delivering quality through people’ – improving the employability of job seekers is the focus of LonAdd’s Corporate Social Responsibility Programme. We take a proactive approach to tackling employability in Addis Ababa, and further afield, improving the skills of local people through a variety of approaches. Our approach focuses on the youth and new graduates. “Focusing on employment for youth and new graduates in Ethiopia can be hugely challenging, but also hugely rewarding when we see the impacts of improving skills and finding people meaningful work.”

Training

We offer a wide variety of training courses, providing useful skills that help people to become more desirable in the job market. Our recent program be to give Free trainings to job-seekers who need some extra assistance. The trainings will include:

  • Interview do’s and don’ts
  • CV Writing
  • Job hunting
  • Networking

Employment Events

We have organized our first Career Fair in Ethiopia at UNECA on 25th October 2014 and then again on October 31st, 2015. These were two successful free events for job-seekers, linking new graduates with employers from a wide range of fields.

Internship Programme

Our internship programme allows graduates with little or no professional background to gain meaningful work experience in the fields of HR and recruitment.

Looking to the Future

In the future we hope to become more involved in community-based schemes. One upcoming project will involve mentoring and empowering disadvantaged children at schools in the local vicinity, with regards to finding future employment.
